Join Topfibra as a Project Manager
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects within a GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) manufacturing and engineering environment. The role ensures that projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer specifications, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
You will be the primary interface between customers, engineering, production, procurement, quality control, and site teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle. The position involves project planning, resource management, risk assessment, progress monitoring, contract administration, and continuous improvement of project execution processes.
Key responsabilities:
- Manage GRP manufacturing and engineering projects from project award through final delivery and project close-out.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding project execution, schedules, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, budgets, and resource plans.
- Coordinate activities between engineering, production, procurement, quality control, logistics, and site supervision teams.
- Monitor project progress and ensure compliance with contractual, technical, and quality requirements.
- Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns.
- Manage project documentation, reports, change orders, and correspondence.
- Coordinate procurement activities and monitor supplier performance related to project requirements.
- Organize and lead project meetings with internal teams, customers, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Track project costs, variations, and financial performance against approved budgets.
- Support contract administration and ensure compliance with commercial obligations.
- Ensure adherence to company HSE policies and industry regulations.
- Prepare regular project status reports, KPI tracking, and management presentations.
- Facilitate project commissioning, testing, handover, and final acceptance activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and project management best practices.
Location: Topfibra Headquarters, Ajdovščina, Slovenia (full-time, probation period: 6 months, required work experience: 5 years)
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience in project management within industrial manufacturing, engineering, or construction environments.
- Good understanding of GRP products, manufacturing processes, and engineering projects.
- Strong planning, organizational, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ERP/project management systems.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience managing GRP manufacturing, piping, tanks, equipment, or industrial plant projects.
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, IPMA, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of contract management and commercial project administration.
- Experience with project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Familiarity with quality management systems and industrial standards.
- Additional foreign language skills are considered an advantage.
Work Environment
The Project Manager typically works in both office and operational environments, collaborating closely with engineering, production, procurement, quality control, logistics, and site teams. The role may require customer visits, supplier meetings, factory inspections, and occasional travel to project sites to monitor project progress and support commissioning or installation activities.
